Jack Jones, of Riverstones Biodiesel out of Utah, stumbled on a great way to break biodiesel emulsions using Glycerine.

It's been mentioned a few times on here.

The process works on both small and large batches and has been repeatedly successful numerous times.

He put together a really nice page on breaking them complete with great photos

there was an interesting discussion between Maud Essen and Jack on what is happening- they are soapmakers and they talked about the participation of alcohol in the process of making 'glass soap' (it went way over my head!) . It was on biodieselbasics a couple of months ago.
