I use 75% wvo, 20% kerosene, 5% rug. Temps here don't get much below 58 degrees in the evenings.

I'm still cautious, running 50% my blend with 50% diesel. I have two vehicles I'm running this in a 2002 Huyudai 2.5 diesel and a Nissan Frontier 3.0 turbo.

Mercedes 300 D: 10 gallons vegetable oil, 1 gallons kerosene, 0.5 gallons RUG, 7 ounces diesel clean, 1 ounce Deezol, 4 ml Kathon FP 1.5 aviation. In winter, down to 15 degrees F, add 1.5 gallons kerosene.

For volkswagen jetta, add 1.5 gallons kerosene in summer, 2 gallons in winter (down to 15 F), otherwise same formula. Jetta definitely harder to start in winter.

I believe he means that his overall mix is 50% diesel & the other 50% makeup is his Blend.

Why are you cautious? Is it maybe because you have a relatively newer type of DI & TDI diesel?

I would not want to run any type of experimental fuel on the current ULSD models. From what I've read, these are only to run on ULSD. Or is that just propaganda?

From one of the postings here, the best additive for lubricity is soy oil

Sorry I didn't get back sooner, but the mix in the truck is 50% diesel and 50% blend which works out to be 50% diesel, 38% wvo, 10% kero, & 2%rug.

Recently I've bumped the mixture up to approx 75% blend in the tank with 25% diesel. It gets a little hard starting in the morning because the ambient temp gets down to around 55 degrees overnight. After it initially starting and running for a short period, the Nissan starts up without problems and runs fine. I'm playing around with one of those glow plugs mounted in a base for changing the location of an oil filter. Currently it is the first filter in line from the tank. I'll be moving the hoses so the heated output wil go directly to the injection pump. As soon as I have tried this I'll post my findings.

I'm cautious because I'm new at this and am still learning.

try adding some cetane boost to your mix, that will help it start a little better!

So far, I've changed the blend down to 70% wvo, 25% diesel, & 5% rug. This is the latest batch. I would have used kerosene at 25 %, but there wasn't any when I went to buy it. So I substituted the diesel in the blend. Hopefully the next batch will be back to kerosene.

Not too happy with the glow plug in the filter trick at the moment. The filter I found here that would fit the base was a PH8 and that holds a lot of fuel as opposed to a PH16. I am seriously considering going back to 50% blend and 50% diesel for the Nissan.

Finding cetane booster here is not too easy. I'd love to try some AMSOIL if I could get my hands on it.

Go on their website and go to the find a dealer near you, if none, it would probibly no be worth it unless you buy a case (shipping) doesn't cost that much more to ship a case than a bottle! K-1 will work much better than D-2 for thinning!

Iused to use 25% K-1 and 5% RUG with some anti-gel down to 0F with clear oil, now that I found stale gas(little to no octane) I use 30% plus my additives in my sig down to 0F no problems. happy veggin'

stale RUG is just old stale gas I get from the local boat yard for free, it has lost all or most of its octane, if 35F is the coldest it's going to get you should be fine with 25% thinner as well as an anti jell or cold flow improver as well as a cetane boost for easyier starting and smoother running engine
