Have been making bio diesel for a while now and been have been getting good batches but now glycerin that settles turning hard sometimes solid. What am I doing wrong or what is going wrong?

Thats soap.I use mine in the laundry,stripping floors(run janitorial bussiness).Damn good cleaner degreaser/paint removers from clothes,and brushes.

You probably are using NaOH if I had to guess. Switch to KOH and you should be fine.
