Well, more info is required. WHere are you located? (climate). How much do you value your engine, and how tolerant of risk are you? Can you afford to kill your motor?

I sold my Toyota with a 6.2 diesel about 6 months ago but before that I put about 6,000 miles on blending with it.
I tried all different blends (RUG, Diesel, etc) all of which I got from this forum. I could never tell any difference on any of the blends. In the heat of the summer I was running about 75% WVO with about 15% diesel and 10% rug, during the winter I would adjust it to closer to 50% WVO. I could usually tell by the way it started as to whether or not the blend was ok, ideally it should start with very little smoke. I was also using a coolant heated filter which isn't really needed for blending but just made me feel better. Currently I am driving a Mercedes G350 diesel and have been blending about 50/50 (WVO/Diesel) during the winter and am going to gradually start increasing the amount of WVO now that it is getting warmer. It isn't an exact science, just make sure you have clean, dry WVO and start with a small amount and work your way up. Good luck Rusty |

HI! i have a 95 6.5T suburban, what he said,, cold weather 50-50 filtered WVO to ULSD, warmlike in TX, 75-25, wvo to ulsd, about 8000miles all OK,
when cold , starts with 5-10 sec. smoke then clears, runs fine. simple ,the hotter the weather the better it runs, when hot starts instantly and no smoke. I dont use any additives, just good SETTLED WVO and filtered to 5mic. with some ULSD. works for me! THX Ron |
