I just saw a reference to biokerosene for sale. What is that? My best guess is a blend of biodiesel and kerosene for use in jet engines, but I wonder if there is some process for refining / converting B100 into something more like Kerosene (Diesel #1.) Anyone here know anything?

I make B100 for use in my TDI and I know others who blend it with Heating Fuel #2. My interest in biokerosene is for my Monitor Kerosene heater (www.monitorheaters.com) - direct vent no wick, very efficient - and I'm wondering if a 20% blend of biodiesel and Kerosene would work. I read some old threads here about biodiesel blends leaving a residue on a kerosene heater wick. Even with no wick, I suspect that the burner would get clogged with soot if used with a biodiesel/kerosene mix. Still I'm curious if anyone has had success using a biodiesel blend in this type of heater.

Thanks.

I'd love to try this, does anyone know of a forced air torpedo heater that blows the hot air out of one side, but has a vent for the exhaust gases? maybe like a 6" or 8" duct to vent to the outside?

What about a 50/50 mixture of SVO and kerosene for use in a carburated drip type pot heater?
