Roll Eyes

Low 30's...t-shirt weather...

It was -25F with the windchill Dec 21st...I was outside trying to finish putting siding, until I ran out of screws. Bit chilly...just had to go inside the shed every couple hours to warm my hands up again.

Though I bet john could way blow that away up at da' lodge, eh?

Yeah, it's been that cold without the windchill up-here at Possum Lake. There's not much between here and you except a barbed wire fence and a couple of the strands are down.

I've found that latex surgical gloves under my work gloves or mitts will significantly cut down heat loss. About half the heat loss from hands is from evaporation, and the latex gloves stop that and also provide an insulating airspace next to the skin.

bearring

I do not know what you drive, and every vehicle has its own tolerance level.
You are in Ga so our temps are similar. Try 75% vo and 25% rug or K #1 . I prefer K #1 but now rug is cheaper.
So far, the sample from my current container of blend is liquid and looks OK. Coolest morning has been 19 F so far. If i go out one morning and it is thickening, i'll add 1 to 10 gallons of K1. Depends on how much is in the tote.
Another thought, in the cool months never fill the vehicle above 3/4 tank. Give yourself room to add something to thin the fuel if you need to. If you need to thin the tote you also need to thin the tank.

David Norwood

2001 F350 7.3 DI purchased new by me and i believe it is the first DI Ford experimented with and talked about on this forum. The single OEM fuel tank only.

Updated 1/2009 .
HOH for fuel line heat from tank to 12v lift pump. GPI/CIM-TEK spin on filterhead and 10 micron filter. Two 12v 36" heaters wrapped around metal fuel lines. One before add on filter and one before OEM filter.dttk44@bellsouth.net

Cool weather mixes starting spring 2009. 100% vo to 65*. 5% K1 to 55*. 10% K1 to 45*. 20% K1 to 35*. 30% K1 to 10*.
