lysa,
You might have difficulty injecting and igniting your colder biodiesel but I can't imagine you'd have any problems at all mixing your homebrew biodiesel of different ambient seasonal temperatures for storage no matter how cold or hot it gets? What are the regulations in your area about fuel storage? At a certain weight you might need a the foundation inspected. I am sure the county office could help answer some questions, but you might try talking to a biodiesel manufacturer. The folks over at Yokayo BioFuels in northern California (where I live) are very helpful and firendly. Also, you could try asking a local petroleum wholesaler. Redwood Petroleum are the people to talk to in CA, imho. Transporting the fuel in large quantities might warrant permits if not licensing in the 250 and more gallon range but I often see people stocking up on the ~5 gallon cubies - I once saw a guy stick like 30 plastic cubies of WVO & bioD in his M-B wagon Aloha! |
