Being extremely new to the idea of making my own B.D. I was wondering how much WVO do you put into a 50 Gal water heater to make a batch? How much bio-diesel can you expect to get out of a single batch with the Appleseed process? Thanks for the info. This is a great group of informative people and I am learning ALOT!!!

You can get about 35 gallons of oil in a 50 gallon water heater and still have room for the methanol. How much biodiesel you get out of the 35 gallons is directly realated to the titration value of the oil. 95-97% of the original oil is typical for low titration oil.
