What do you mean 'totally recalibrate'? Did you change the column? Or injection method? To calibrate a GC we had a mixture of 23 gasses provided by Scott Gasses of known quantity. We would check the cal on our machines daily. HTH

chromforum.org is the place to start.
if you mean recalibrate your GC, you buy the standards that agilent or whatever your GC manufacturer recomends depending on the detector. For example the FID has a standards that contains a bunch of different hydrocarbons. If you want to recalibrate a certain method like ASTM 6584 you use the 5 standards as specified in the method and make a new calibrations table/curve. You do this every time you change the column, or change gas flows etc. |
