Does anyone know if properly made methyl biodiesel ever goes rancid? I don't mean oxidation. Thanks

I don't know about "ever," but I have a 15-gallon barrel of homebrew B100 sitting in my barn that is about six years old now. I can't really explain why I haven't used it, except that a long time ago it got pushed to the back of things and never used. I crack it open once in a rare while, and it shows no signs of discoloration or off smell -- I would have no hesitation about pouring it in one of my fuel tanks if I got around to it. It's been stored sealed in a semi-translucent HDPE type barrel, in a generally dark barn.

Cheers, John
