I know this may be a basic question I should know but I was hoping someone could break down thbasic of of my system should be set up. I am running a Golden Fuel system with a VO Controller. I had my 300d converted last year by a shop that is now out of business. Upon initial install air bubbles were causing a loss of power. They fixed it I think by running a return line to the veg tank and everything was fine until recently. Now after 30 minutes on veg I lose all power due, I am assuming, to loss of fuel from the air bubbles. I switch back to diesel quickly and it works fine (no air). Then I switch back to veg and it will work fine again for a while before it does it again. I can see bubbles in the line entering the stock fuel filter and exiting every few minutes. I changed the fuel filter and veggie filters, but read somewhere that a bleed line should be run to the diesel tank from the veggie tank?? Should this have been done? How can I maually extract air from the veg loop? What should I do to correct this problem in the future?

Wow, now I really feel like a newbie, but just to remind everyone to check the basics first! I had changed the veg filter 2 weeks ago so did not think about doing it again. When I decided to replace it again I changed the gasket and noticed a small crease where it did not sit right when I changed it last. I think it was causing air on the suction side. I changed it and purged back and forth and now the bubbles are gone hopefully for good.
