There are plenty of people with lots of real world experience here that will help you out of the goodness of their hearts rather than trying to profit from what they have learned first hand.
I don't see the need to spend money on plans when there are so many diagrams posted here for all sorts of things anyway.

Just make sure if you do pay for plans, that you get all the support you need from whomever you purchase them from and don't need to be asking questions of other people on forums such as this whom would have given you the answers in the first place. If you need plans to start with, chances are they are going to raise as many questions as they answer and you are going to need one on one help to complete your endeavors.

I would also suggest to this end you check the experience of others with any vendor you are going to spend money with to make sure they are readily and easily contactable by phone and direct email so your efforts are not continually delayed waiting for answers to simple but important questions.
