We have an 1994 F250 running SVO. We recently had to clean the entire fuel system of VO residue. Our SVO is filtered, heated and centrifuged before use. It is well heated with a retro kit. This is our second veggie F250, the first never had this residue problem. The only real difference was that we looped the diesel return line. Our current theory is that we are getting SVO in our unheated diesel tank on the purge which is causing the residue problem. We were just going to loop the diesel but most people are saying this is a bad idea. Any suggestions?
Stop sending SVO to the diesel tank on purge. You either need to purge to the veg tank longer or you do not have it purging to the right place. The diesel return that is purging the veg oil out should go to the Veg oil tank in some way. On that note you should share your set up because there are lots of them.
