Was wondering what is everybody thoughts about the Fuel Carts from Springboard. They have a 60 gallon and 100 gallon carts with caster wheels and pumps. Also it would be easy to make something similar cheaper and to try to lower the center of gravity on them some more.

Also Graydon if you happen to read this do you know if Springboard has any plans to offer their INCOSEP and INCOSEP-Pro as a add on to their BioPro 150.

Thanks to every for their feedback.

Why would you spend that kind of money when you can do it so much cheaper with a 55 gallon poly drum? Those little wheels would not roll over anything very rough. I can't get something like that to my truck so what has worked for me is a 30 or 15 gallon drum straped to a dolly with air filled tires and either a hand pump or a 12 volt air compressor.

Agreed! ...and the price on those is just downright obnoxious. I need something smaller and more maneuverable and plan to build one with a 30 gallon poly drum, a hand cart, a pump and meter. About $300.

Scarecrow,
No. They don't have any plans to do INCOSEP for the 150's.
It won't fit under the hood.

Raften and PbIntoAu. I agree with you with it being done for a hell of a lot less. The drums are much easier to handle I think also. The other thing is these carts are top heavy to me and I would worry about that going and if one of the wheels would go out that would be a disaster if it the bio was sloshing around in it. The price is also unbelievable for those carts. Just was wondering what every ones thoughts where on these carts.

Thanks Graydon for the answer I was wondering why they weren’t offering it in the 150.

Yeah. I'd asked them the same thing, but I've also seen under the hood of a 150 & there's not much room left under there.

The INCOSEP box is about the size of a big power supply in a computer system plus you'd have to mount the INCOSEP probe down into the tank. So, for now, it's just on the 190 & 380.

It would've been pretty sweet though if it would've fit...

The fuel cart may have some more expensive features than what you're looking for, but I wouldn't call the price obnoxious. For what you're getting, it's a pretty fair price. Just the pumping portion of the cart (Fuel Pump, Digital Meter, and Inline filter) are going to cost you around $500.

These carts are built very nicely, are super-handy and sturdy and their price reflects that. Nobody ever said you couldn't make one cheaper, but you get what you pay for. (We've used one similar to this around our shop for the past three years, and for what we do, we couldn't hardly live without it. That's why Springboard decided to make them available for others who might want them.)

Two things stand out to me when I look at the pic. Those castors look weak and it appears to support the tank with just two gusseted uprights. 100 gallons is a lot of weight to have up there and have a castor catch on a rough spot. Rolling on smooth cement all the time, no problem.

I agree with you Galen it is a nice unit, it is just that my goal with bd has always been saving money plus the fact it would never stand up to the use I would put it to. A meter is nice but a translucent container makes a pretty good meter also.
