He did nice work, how long does it take the pumps to pull full vacuum? How many gallons is the tank? Are the pumps AC or DC?

He should have a filter between the pumps and the tank, he will get oil vapor in the pumps and it will either destroy or gum up his diaphrams, also, I have found an outlet on the bottom and an inlet in the top works best, with a top inlet it draws a lot faster.

As a guy who has pumped oil through his vacuum pump from overfilling the tank: I concur! I BIG filter, like an oil-0catch-can sized one. Clear, so you can tell you are overfull at a glance!
