I'm upgrading my 16 gallon drum processor to a 55 gallon version and have a question concerning the plumbing. I'm using a kitchen sink drain for the drain of my system but I'm having a hard time finding the plumbing parts that will reduce from 1 1/2" to 3/4" pipe. Granted I realize I can't do it with one fitting but might require a couple of bushings/reducers to get it done.

So, I've seen this setup done by others here on the forums, yes I did send them messages and haven't heard back from them. If there's anyone out there that could help on this issue I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Jerry

A 1-1/2 to 3/4 bushing should be rather easy to find. Check with your local Ace Hardware. They usually have someone there who can point you in the right direction.

Jerry,
I have this special port that I make which allows you to make a processor from a 55 gallon drum with no modifications. Screw it into a drum, attach your pump and make a 45 gallon batch. Move it to the next drum for another batch.

In a drum. I have even used plastic drums for my demos (so people can see the oil.

Finally! With some help from Menard's plumbing department guy, Tom, I was able to get the parts I needed to plumb the kitchen strainer. Here's a picture of the parts. I'll report back on how it goes.

Thanks

Jerry
