Sorry I have no advice to fix it but I can tell you that they can work well.
I have the same one and it was accurate right out of the box. I havent checked it since I first installed it but I would notice if it had gone that much out of whack... Maybe give the manufacturer a call? Jon |

-are you sure your not sucking air in prior to the meter, I know that air pumped when the tote is near empty will cause faulty readings. Tom " I don't know what I don't know until I know" 1994 GMC 6.5 Tubo 2005 Dodge ram 3500, 3 VW's 2000, 2002, 2005. |

Have you tried running some diesel through it and seeing if its more accurate? It could due to the extra viscosity of bio. Or maybe it could be calibrated for gasoline?
Yes I was right, I just downloaded the user manual for it from tuthill here: http://www.tuthill.com/admin/D...er_Owners_Manual.pdf It says it was calibrated using mineral spirits (very thin) and will need to be re-calibrated for other fluids. There is a calibration screw inside and that owners manual shows how to do it. Sounds very similar to the meter I had maybe 9 months ago.
Bio compatible, adjustment screw, etc. Bought it from a well know mail order place. I could not get it to calibrate, e.g. ran out of adjustment. It was about 20% error too. Manufacturer person could not give a satisfactory answer, other to possibly drill out the port a little bit to gain more adjustment (which would void warranty). Sent it back, full refund came along with shipping charges covered. |

There are different kinds of errors that measuring equipment can exhibit. In your case, if it is always off by exactly 21% (as an example), you can just print up a little conversion chart. Read the indicated number, look that up on the chart and translate that into the real number.
On the other hand, if it's off by 21% when the fuel is 70F, and 28% when the fuel is 42F, or just randomly off by 10-34%, then you're beat. HTH, troy |

Do you guys put a check valve in place after the meter? The manual makes some reference to this. I do get surges in the pump and there is no auto shut off on the dispenser handle (open to the air.) Perhaps that is what is causing this problem?
