I am wondering if a 4cyl. diesel (isuzu) will bolt up to a 5 speed S10 5 speed trans. Motor in it was a 2.2 gas.

I had 2 Isuzu's and from what I remember they won't fit without serious altering. I do know of a guy in Florida that can tell you for sure. His name is Roger and his cell number is 352-478-9106. He deals in Isuzu's.

the S-10 did have the 223 diesel with T-5 trans option. Supper rare and has a unique bell housing.

Unless you have the specific 233 engine to T-5 trans bellhousing it will not work.

You are better off installing the 223 engine with the Isuzu 5-speed and fabing the motor & trans mounts.
