I've just got started with making biodiesel and now I'm looking at how to heat my shop, which is 30 ft by 48 ft with 15 ft ceiling. My plumber/HVAC guy estimates that 150,000 BTUs will heat the shop. I've looked at some new heaters, but $5000 to $7500 is just tooooooo much. I will have a small supply of used motor oil (mostly 15W40), a lot of WVO during the winter and some biodiesel, if needed.
I need some GOOD advice. Can I buy a burner that is relatively maintenance free that will burn all this stuff or should I build my own? Where can I get a really GOOD set of plans?
Whatever I buy or build, I want it to work really well and not have to tinker with it.

go to www.builditsolar.com and search for their waste oil heater plans. It is basically the Mother Earth News waste oil heater with some good mofifications by Roger Sanders. Looks like a really good plan and is working good for quite a few people and it's free. I found some good info on youtube also by searching for waste oil heater.
