I'm starting a blog on Turk Burner development, as I've got quite a few notebook pages on my Turk project which I think other experimenters with these fun, and slightly dangerous oil burners would like to compare notes on.

I can't seem to come up with a good name for it. My regular blog is Diary of a Mad Scientist. I can't seem to come up with something funny or catchy for the Turk one.

Anyone got any bright ideas?

"Turk Burner info" or "Turk Burner Blog" says it all for me. (I know, limited imagination - makes it a clear name though)

I assume this turk discussion will be located under this "heating" forum ?

Mark,

This was just my typical German/Norwegian heritage coming through, very dry humor.

Here to you for setting up a blog on it.

I can do both a title and a subtitle so the title should be catchy and the subtitle can explain what the heck we're about.

And no, it's not going to be a forum post- it's an actual blog using Wordpress, where multiple users (hopefully you, Tim, would contribute) can post and also tag their posts with various useful categorizing tags. I"m linking it to another piece of photo-uploading software so that users can post photos and then discuss the details in the blog and so forth, we'd have blog comments enabled, etc. Just slightly better way to archive information than just a discussion forum.

The Boyfriend, with whom I have a sort of oil burner rivalry (he's a Babington burner guy) suggested that the subtitle say something about free heat from crappy fuels . I'm still annoyed that all I can come up with is 'turk burner blog' for the main title though.

Turk burner-free heat from waste oil wwo
Your boyfriend i think is on the right track! i am interested in making one think as soon as i get a few things caught up wouldn’t might experimenting with heating my oil to filter with that ! Would probably be easier to control the heat instead of my current method of a 55gal barrel over a fire! Can get busy at times keeping the heat right with wood but a good way to get rid of my used filters they burn great!
p.s. the link to this site would be cool sounds like a great idea i am greatful to people who share info like this thanks to all !
