Lets seee... folks have been forking out lots of time and money. Risked warentee's, risked burning their homes or shops down.. to reach the level of success they have with their heaters.

and they you come in here and asked to be spoon fed their information in a nice little package??

Have you even took the time to do some searching of this board?

Their will be some happy to share their information. Be patient, do your research, ask questions, be a fellow of the oil. Most of all don't ask to be spoon feed. We ain't your momma.

Sorry for the harsh. I rarely do that. This responce is aimed more in general to all those simular request. How it relates to you is specifically is up to how much search and reading you've done up to now.

I heard a rumor that theres a really cool waste oil heater Here that you can buy plans for.. Its not meant to go in a home..

You can check out Kuma stoves but they are a bit pricey if you ask me. I have no knowledge of quality as I don't own one.

Wow.. that's pretty small...
A standard natural gas kitchen range has 4 burners on top and they are usually around 5000 to 6000 btu's each. What you're asking for is a micro small unit.
Are you sure you wouldnt be better off with wood heat or something?

well my cabin... ah I mean my little work space, is less than 200 sq. feet. You can guess the amount of room in it for stuff that sits on the floor is minimal.

A wood stove is too big, especially taking into account for space from walls needed on install. Besides, I get free WVO.

So a micro unit is exactly what I need. Even better if the unit sits outside and heats water for radiant heat or has a blower that blows hot air into the space.

Micro unit could also be used to heat my portable work space that I tow around with my truck too. Would love to have a super micro unit as a cook top too. Use it to heat WVO for processing, for cooking a burger, a baby turkey etc.

BTW- My truck is very unique (unimog) and would be a great pimp mobile for someones product. Big Grin Cool

Have you considered a lean-to 'greenhouse' on the south side? Put a wood&wasteVO heater in there against the wall with bricks behind it. Solar heat plus with the heater in there you can grow fresh food year round in your climate. A small fan high on the wall would draw heat into the cabin.

Hmmm...I've been trying to figure out how to tuck my heater into my garage without it being in the way all summer, and I think you just gave me the best idea there john.

My current brewing stuff is in a small garden shed that is actually my father-in-laws. I had PLANNED on returning it to him when I move everything out and into the new shed, but if he doesn't actually care to have it back, I could drag it around to the back corner of the shop, where my wife couldn't see its ugliness, and shove the waste oil heater in there. Then just run the heat duct into a window or something.

I could strip almost all the flammables out of the shed (its steel with a wood frame) and I would have a semi-contained little burn-building...outside my main shed and not in the way! And completely mobile whenever I move again next.

See any faults in my thinking?

It should work well. I'd consider lining the inside of the shed with foil faced fiberglass insulation, like they use in steel buildings.
