We just had a local heating & cooling out to assess the possibilities for an oil burning furnace that we'd run on biodiesel. We already have a "Franklin" wood stove that we have only used once...my wife doesn't like the thick wood smell, nor do we have a supply of free/cheap wood. The heating & cooling guy said we should look into an oil-burning free-standing Franklin stove since we already have a fireplace there, and have space for a tank right outside.

Is anyone familiar with companies that make these? I'm going to continue to search Google, but thought you might have some valuable input.

EDIT: I just found http://www.kumastoves.com/oil-stoves.php

Thanks!

I plan on adding a KUMA this summer. I made the mistake of telling my neighbor that and he is very worried about any smell from it. One of the members here has a KUMA and says the smell is not noticable. Haven't delt with the city yet but as they are about to ban wood burning, I might have a problem. If they get too testy I'll just do a natural gas free standing stove. Wink wink.
