Planned on buying a biopro when my garage is finished and thought why not get an oil furnace if I can use my biodiesel to fuel it.

From what I have read I believe we are good to go but would like a confirmation from someone (Skeet?) whose been there.

The new boiler we have installed for the greenhouse and farm store heat is factory set at 140PSI with a nozzle size of .75. IIRC all we need to do is find the sweet spot for the proper fuel/air for B100. Thoughts are appreciated.

I'm new to the biodiesel thing. I would very much like to use biodiesel in my home oil furnace. Can I just start dumping biodiesel in my tank instead of fuel oil?

If you think you can or if you think you can't, then you are probably right.

ditto on the yahoo group. I've been burning b100 for a little over a year. Haven't bought home heating oil since July of 06. Don't plan to buy any unless my oil supply disappears....

The furnace is a Thermo-Pride X-239774
The burner is a Carlin X-572874
The pump is a Suntec A2VA-7116
I believe I have a .75 x 80deg A nozzle.
My storage tank is kept in a room temperature basement.

So far, I've been told that if I get a Webster Bio-Pump, a nozzle heater, a pressure gauge and drop one size on the nozzle I should be able to run B100 and or HHO interchangeably. I'm hoping that someone out there can confirm this. I'd like the flexibility to run B100 or HHO depending on my circumstance.

I'd also like to find out where I can get information on basic oil furnace setup. I know there are a lot of variables to consider. Stack temperature, is a new one for me. I assume it should be around 350 deg but I'm not sure.

Any help I can get is much appreciated! Smile
