According to this Greek article, all diesel used for transport in Greece will be 2% bd by the end of the year after the main refineries of the country have started, or are about to start, mixing bd into the fuel they supply to the whole country.

For those who do not read Greek, according to this article, the first two that are operated by Hellenic Petroleum and Motor Oil will be mixing bd produced from raw veg oil by a company called Hellenic Biopetroleum based at the town of Kilkis, while another, operated by Elinoil, will be mixing in bd produced at a plant near the town of Volos that will use a mix of used and raw veg oil.

It is expected that around 90.000 tonnes of bd will be used in 2006 and this is the first step towards the country's target of 5.75% of all fuel used for transport purposes coming from renewable sources.
