We have successfully produced biodiesel from catfish oil in 2005. The fuel has been tested by Vietnamese General Directorate for Standards and Measurement to meet commercial biodiesel standards for diesel engines.

Just to provide more information. Annual catfish productivity of Vietnam is 60.000 tons, and the price is very cheap, approx. US$0.25 per kilo.

Not only using catfish oil, we have also studied other sources of animal fat and vegetable oil, and potential candidates have been found.
