The bell fountain effect can be easily produced by pumping bio up a vertical pipe with a large washer placed over the end.

Fix the washer to a 10 inch lenth of threaded rod with a couple of nuts and drop the threaded rod into the end of the pipe. This produces a relly good fountain with no plastic parts to degrade or melt.
