I apologize again for asking a "how long" question, but since it is my first time, I am curious. I made my first batch over the weekend; it was a smaller one, about 24gal of oil which made a little over 20 gallons of BD. Anyway, I pumped the BD from my stand pipe to a dry plastic 55gal drum with half of the top cut off. I got a little over 18gal out and will leave the rest for next time. I placed a 6" bubble stone in the bottom of the tank this morning and have been bubbling since ~8:30. I have no means of heating the BD in the dry tank so I was wondering how long this might take. I live in NW Ohio where the temps are around 70F right now. Any input/advice would be appreciated.

Also, how will I know when its dry? Is there a test for this?

Depends on your humidity. I've had to bubble for a day or two after a good washing before the fuel darkens and clarifies. And relative humidity here can be lower than 20%.
