Just a little FYI on Methanol prices here in Georgia for those folks getting into Bio-diesel.

55 gallon barrel $172 or $3.12 a gallon

Road Atlanta in Braselton
Gallon price $3.30

arborlis,

I know I've only scratched the surface on prices when you gave your price. It would almost be worth it to me to travel up there and bring back 4 barrels. But, I'll keep looking, scratch that, calling around. If I can get it locally for $2 a gallon I'd be happy.

How much Bio have you produced? Can you supply a sample?

Chevelle,

Have you ever heard of the term, "just enough to be dangerous"? Just kidding, I know a good bit about the process and right now only make small batches of 15 gallons or less because I don't need that much right now. But thats changing and I'm in the process of building a 40 gallon "Appleseed" processor that should be operational and running at full capacity before the end of September.

Why waste your money on shipping a small sample of Barracuda's Blend of Bio-diesel when you can give it a try yourself? "Its easy, peasy, Japanesie" Brooks, Shawshank Redemption. LOVE that movie. Seen it 50+ times

Back on the subject... For $10, or less if you raid mom's pantry for a liter of vegetable oil, you can do it yourself. Besides to ship it you have to pay the hazmat fee($8+) to UPS and it can't be shipped USPS because its listed as a flamable liquid and restricted.

Give it a whirl, Earl!

Do you have a name and phone number for this supplier in Memphis? I'm in Metro Atlnata, But I'd like to see if they have any suppliers closer to ATL with similar prices.
