The Good:
Engine and transmission function perfectly Little or no underbody rust All structural and chassis components are sound with no appreciable rust, including the jack mounts Interior is in excellent shape (no rips or tears) considering it’s age Carpets and upholstery is in excellent shape New calipers, rear rotors and brake pads all around New springs and shocks on the front. Balance of suspension is in good condition 4 Good summer tires and 2 good snows, all mounted on Mercedes alloy wheels Everything works except the AC, cruise control, drivers rear window (probably window mechanism has rusted) and radio (blown internal fuse). The Bad: Needs cosmetic body work due to start of surface corrosion (front fenders are available aftermarket…about $90 each) Doors and balance of body easily repaired. Small hole in trunk (easily repaired) Needs new fuel lines Needs front rotors This vehicle has been very well maintained through out it’s life (former diplomatic car) and has been used as a daily driver up until August. This would be a great project car for someone who is mechanically inclined and wants to get into a good candidate for bio or veggie. Would take it on myself but have too many projects as it is. Would like to get $2,000 for it but am open to offers. Will help to arrange shipping if not bought locally. If not for the brakes and fuel lines, would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. PM me if your interested or reply here. Bill This message has been edited.
