It has approximately 240,000 miles (I replaced the speedometer, so I don’t know for sure). It is a 5-cylinder diesel engine with an automatic transmission, 2-door coupe, with newer CD deck. Tires are okay and it runs pretty much as you would expect a ’78 to run.
The veggie oil conversion features a coolant heated veggie tank (arctic fox heater in a 15 gallon RCI tank), a coolant heated veggie filter (Vormax) with built in water separator and pressure gauge, and an electric vegetherm heater just before the injectors. This car has a hose on a hose design with a return line to the veggie tank (no loop). There is also a veggie fuel level indicator and a thermometer that monitors the oil temperature at the Vormax filter. Veggie oil conversion was done by a mechanic who has installed dozens of customized conversions. He still tells me how proud he is of his work is on this car. This is a very well designed conversion that will keep your veggie oil HOT! I ran it on used oil that I picked up weekly for free from a local restaurant--German & Italian food. I spent ~$1500 for the veggie conversion, so this is quite a bargain for a flexible fuel vehicle. This car needs some paint, and the interior is kind of rough but that’s why it is so cheap. Why am I selling this car? I moved away from Chico, CA, and need an AWD snow car, now that I live in Truckee. I did however drive this through the winter with studded tires one year up in Lake Almanor, and it was pretty good in the snow. I have driven this cross country (to Minnesota) two times in the winter and it never failed me. I am really going to miss this car.
