I just saw an ad from Oil-Dri company about using oil-dri or one of its products for biodiesel purification. Has anybody tried this?
mornin' - do google web/scholar/patent searches for biodiesel + diatomaceous earth.
this might be a good one to move to dry wash.
oh, and though i've been meaning to, i haven't tried this yet.
Oil-Dri has an ad in the May issue of Boidiesel magazine about a product called Select. It supposed to filter impurities from feedstock and methyl esters. Checkout the website at www. selectbiodiesel.com. I checked it out it dosn't really give that much info.
The webpage says it is a natural magnesium aluminum silicate. It sounds very much like Magnesol to me.
