Am looking for a use/market for that crude raw glycerin that accumulates as a by-product of biodiesel. I have caught a "whiff" of a possibility that asphalt paving industry uses the glycerin by-product. Anyone out there know anything specific on this? What would a local paving contractor use it for? I am so interested in developing this possibility, especially on a local contractor level as I need some extra capital to fund the continuation of the bio experiment! feel free to answer me direct: firstname.lastname@example.org
One asphalt guy told me he will pour vegetable oil on fresh laid asphalt to improve it. Not sure what he meant by "improving it".
This was discussed last month. Do a search for asphalt paving glycerin to learn more.
