No probs from me Jack, although be aware that that was a very brief synopsis of only a SIMILAR problem. Not specifically related to biodiesel emulsions. I have no reason to think it doesn't cross over to the emulsions we face here.

Hi,
I would like to know how early does the sign show that the emulsion is breaking after mixing BD byproduct glycerol? Does it happen right away? or does it take overnite? I've tried mixing approximately 5 gallons of glycerol into an emulsion that has mixture of about 20 gallons of reacted BD and 10 gallons of water. right now after mixing and letting it settle, emulsion has turned brownish but thin liquid. any suggestions? i've been struggling with it for last 10 days after mixing 10 gallons of water into the reactor and ran through the pump for about half an hour after removing the glycerin layer. I believe the reaction was complete because i never had any trouble with it when i didn't put water into the reactor but wash it in traditional way.
