Weldshop,
5.38g of your liquid Sodium Methylate is equal in strength to 1g NAOH.
So your Titration of 2 + 5(basic amount) = 7g NaOH. 7*5.38g = 37.66g Sodium methylate needed.

Calculating and comparing the Na amounts of the two products is not the way to figure out the catalyst needed.

I have posted the proper formula in another forum for using 30% sodium methylate in solution. Just adjust that for whatever solution you have. Common solutions are 25%, 30% and if you are lucky, 35%.

It would be great if someone would put the formula like we have for the dry catalysts. If anyone could do that I would appreciate it.

Also does anyone have any information on Potassium methylate? Evonik recommends this for UCO.
