Before you go mixing anything you need to analyse what you have for oil. Your oil must be dry (free of water) and you will need to titrate it see how much reactant you need to add. I would suggest you read the getting started section here http://utahbiodieselsupply.com/gettingstarted.php and then ask further questions if you have them.

OK, I will bite. Why are you heating water to 150F? Tell us more about your process. Have you read the CBT? Here is a link. http://biodieseltutorial.com/ |

Well I would turn off the heat, titrate the oil, calculate the necessary catalyst to mix with the methanol, mix the chemicals until all catalyst is dissolved, when the temperature of the oil has dropped to around 135F, slowly add the methoxide to the oil (over the course of about 20 minutes), mix vigorously for a couple of hours maintaining the temperature at or about 135F. conduct a 27/3 test to determine conversion, once pass 27/3 drain to a settling tank and let settle over night. Then you get to decide how you want to wash or filter the BD.
