hello all,

i would like suggestion on different ideas to setup a GL with a 55G reactor.

I am using a port processor (pickup, return from the same 2" bung).

*Pickup (from the very bottom of the barrel); 3/4 pressure hose.

* pipe, T with valve downward to suckup methoxode, inline heater with 2 (1200W/120vac) and wvo flowing downward, liquid now flowing upward through a static mixter joining the feedline to the helical gear pump.

* on the return i have 2 hookups (1 with venturi and another without)
* my plumbing delight is complete but does the pipe coming out of the barrel need to be in copper?
* should it have a particular angle perhaps better suited for a plastic tube?

* ideally i would like to have a vent pipe with a T that can hold the valves on the right.

BUT

I HAVE 1 3/4 PORT TO MANAGE THE VENTILLATION/CIRCULATION and its giving me a hard time... it does not work the way it supposed to

/* the way its setup now, i would only get a feed to the venturi was when the horizontal hose from the destiller going to the methoxide was pinched; when it was not pinched air was sucked up instead of methoxide.

i will post some pix later tonight.

CAN SOMEONE GUIDE ME THOUGH THIS STEP PLEASE.

Pictures or a diagram would help a lot.

I process in a modified 55gal cone bottom drum with extra ports welded in on the sides and top.

For the plumbers delight it does not need to be copper to connect it to the drum. For connecting everything up can you just use the 2" port for both your incoming and return side from your pump? I am imagining one of those 2 port adapters that Joe_M sells. Then the plumbers delight could be connected to the other 3/4" port on the drum.
