I made a 35 gal batch 2 weeks ago. It was amber colored and cloudy and failed 3/27. I titrated again and got .02 titration twice. I reprocessed and passed 3/27 but still cloudy and amber colored. I poured about 1 gal. into an open top 15 gal container. Over night it seperated into a very thin amber layer (glycerin I assume), a white emulsion (very small amount), and crystal clear light yellow bio.
I thought that being in the open top container allowed any remaining methanol to evaporate off, dropped the remaining glycerin, probably picked up a little moisture from the atmosphere or possibly some water from rinsing the tank out, and left pure Bio.
I transfered the remainder to a large open top drum and let it set for several days. There has been no change in color and it is still very cloudy. I probably can't see 2" down into the Bio. Tonight I ran it through a 10 micron filter. It also did not change color or cloudiness. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Not that I know alot about bio as I'm fairly new at all this but I didn't see you say anything about washing the bio. Mine has looked like that but after a few washes seems to clear right up when I dry it. Of course I'm heat drying mine with our bubble drying at all.

Thanks in advance, CC
I'm a little confused here...
You made a batch, it failed 3/27, you reprocessed, it passed 3/27 but the BioD layer is cloudy and won't drop glycerine?
Then you ran this through a 10micron filter?
Next time you reprocess do a 5% prewash, separate glycerine, wash, dry, THEN run through a filter.
Uniquewater: Sorry for the confusion. Yes, I processed both times as recommended in the GL 1 day processor. Both times 5%prewash, drain glycerine, then heated to 90C and circulated for over 2 hours and recovered methanol until no more condensate.
I have a BioPro 190 and the last batch I made looked still wet and had soap in it. I just hit the reset buttom, filled up my water drum and hit wash. It re-washed and dried it and turned out perfect.
