Dinesh, lots of people use immersion water heaters - you must surely know what one of these looks like; 3kw should be just about big enough for processors up to 200 litres, or you can fit two if you know what you're doing. You must make sure that electrical heaters are always below the level of the oil when switched on or you will have a fire.

Depends on your power, which country do you live in?

Deesa is a city in India.
Dinesh: what is your preferred energy source? Electricity, gas, petrol, diesel, kerosene, lpg, solar? Do you want to make large amounts of biodiesel or only enough for a few people? Do you want to build a commercial plant? Do you have oil and chemicals to make it with? What kinds? Have you made biodiesel before? Do you know anyone who has made or used biodiesel? Experience is important for success. Most of the learning is from failures, so those first batches to learn from should be small. We can tailor our answers better when we know more about your plans and background. Regards, JohnO |

Get the cheapest grage, it will be fine, it'll probably be the industrial methanol. We cannot advise you about where to get chemicals in your city - if you cannot figure that out how can we at the other side of the world?

This is absolutely asinine. There is only one kind of methanol. It's a chemical -- CH3OH. You want it to be 99-100% pure. End of story. I already answered your question about isopropyl alcohol in one of your half-dozen other identical threads -- it's also a chemical, symbol C3H7OH. You only use it for titrations, so purity is not as critical as methanol. I can buy 90% pure isopropyl alcohol at any local drugstore. Please do not ask the question again now that you have had it answered twice. NaOH and KOH are (you guessed it!) chemicals, and those are their symbols. NaOH is generally 99% pure, and KOH is often only about 90% pure. Coincidentally, my supply for both of those chemicals is manufactured in India, so it shouldn't be all that hard for you to come by if you are not lazy. The fact that you insist upon asking every stupid question five times in different posts, and that you refuse to do the simplest search here or elsewhere on the internet, suggests strongly that you are just a troll here to waste our time. People here will tire of helping you if you continue refusing to educate yourself -- count me in the group that is already sick of your forumspam. Cheers, John |
