I am going to give try homerolling biodiesel. I thought I would try Tilly's method. Does anyone have any additional words of wisdom before I start.

Pour the mixed and dissolved methanol/lye into the oil, rather than pouring the oil into the methoxide. The concentrated methoxide deteriorates the plastic pop-bottle very quickly, so adding it last helps protect the plastic a little. Use a funnel, wear gloves and eye protection. Keep a bottle of vinegar handy to neutralize spills (on skin). Have something to put the bottle into (5-gallon plastic buckets work fine), in case it starts leaking. It'll create a little gas pressure at first - be careful when you release the pressure. Be patient, and expect dramatic results overnight.

So, here are my results in picture format.

1) SVO
2) BioDiesel (I think)
3) BioDiesel (that i added water to and then boiled off)

So, look at my pictures and hopefully an expert will verify that it's really biodiesel

Oh, picture 2 is post syphoning (i.e. no gylcerol left)
Two questions:

Can I pout #2 directly in the tank and not worry about the possible acid levels?
What does everyone think about #3? Is it messed up now because of the water?

I'm itching to put this stuff in my tank! I've got about a gallon of the #2 picture.
