Have you read through The Colaborative Biodiesel Tutorial (in my sig line) ? Doing it right means starting at the beginning and going through the learning curve. The time invested will translate into experience acquired which will translate into quality of product produced.

Eagle is right. Learn to crawl before you run. There are advanced techniques discussed throughout this forum that are way beyond even my comprehension. Start with some leftover peanut oil. Dewater, and use the Dr. Pepper technique to make a test batch. I recently made two two-liter test batches. One worked, one didn't. I learned quite a bit just from those two experiments. Laugh in the face of the US govt and big oil when you refine your own oil to make BioD. They haven't been permitted to build a refinery in over 30 years on US soil, however, you can assemble a refinery (appleseed processor) using commonly available parts in only hours. Best of luck.
