I mist wash until the wash water is clear, Then buble wash for a sparkley polished product. Never understood why one would bubble wash first, transporting all of the soaps endlessly back up a column of biodiesel, when mist washing settles it once and forever out of the product. Actually, my "mist" is produced by micro irrigation foggers.
I thnk that many people who mist DO do both- MISTING first, then bubbling. The reason is that they can avoid emulsification by removing soaps by doing the misting with fresh water first, and then save on water/or save on labor emptying their wash vessel (I think?>???), by bubbling for a while. My buddy just tried recirculating mist wash water (using a fountain pump) and found that IF any emulsion did form (we work with an oil that is very prone to poor conversion and emulsion problems) and found that trying to mist/recirculate caused serious problems IF emulsification happened anyway.
