Hi everyone;
I've not been here much lately; been making BioDiesel for my Rabbit and am just trying to survive after stupid cancer.
However, yesterday I went to make some fuel and was scraping the bottom of my barrel to get enough oil to make a batch and inadvertently got a lot of water in my oil Frown. I put it in the processor thinking I could dry it with heat, but that's not working too well. Mad I am about to get fresh dry oil since I don't want to bother wasting more energy trying to dry this stuff, but I already mixed the Methoxide. How long can I leave it mixed before I use it!? I've never had to leave it for more than a day!
Help! I don't want to waste it!
Thanks Smile.

If it is sealed it should keep for a while.

From personal experience:
I have kept mixed methoxide in a WELL SEALED container for 3 weeks without any problems (fuel passed 3/27 just the same as using fresh mixed methoxide). Clearly label your methoxide container for safety purposes and to help you remember how much NaOH/KOH you added.
