Hello to all,

I am switching from NaOH to KOH and have a couple of quick questions. I have had excellent results with NaOH but am switching because it will make it easier to do the glycerin Prewash (which by the way is dropping my consistant 6.7 oil to 3.5). My question is what is the consensus on the base for 93% purity KOH? I was thinking 7.5 but wanted more input from those who use it. I'm hoping to have just as good of luck as I did with NaOH. Is there anything else I need to know when making this switch? Thank you in advance for your input.

7.49 is what I come up with. 7.5 is close enough.

The KOH that I use is "90% minimum purity". I don't know what the purity is exactly. I use 8 as the base amount and it works just fine.
