I think others here will agree that storage time (within reason - say 1 year or less) shouldn't hurt your oil. It will, however, start to turn rancid and not smell so good.
If they are in the sun, though, I'd at least cover them with a tarp. Also, be sure the lids are very tight to keep any moisture out of the cubies. Good luck, Jim... hi,
I have some oil that was 1 1/2 years old that sat in cubies. tightly covered (caps worked) well settled and was able to pour just the top 1/2 to 2/3 off. oil titrates from 1.75 to 2.0 keep the AIR OUT!! Cool would be best. but, baring that, cover it with a tarp and keep the lids on tight. I am in the process of using the last of it now. the only issue I have, is it is very wet from 2 winters freeze-thaw cycles. HTH . C. Pump and Heater controllers are a must have.
