Can using excess NaOH crack methyl esters back to FFA's

I have just read on another Biodiesel forum that using excess NaOH will crack Methyl esters back to FFA's. Is this correct?

No amount of NaOH will crack the methyl ester back into FFA. NaoH will convert the methyl ester to soap and that is all. Cool
