Just to let you know Research Solvents in Mobile has the methanol at $3.60 gal in your drum. KOH is $0.95/lb in 50 lb bags. T Gill fuels Pensacola want $350 for a sealed drum (55gal) of Methanol.

Anyone have current pricing on methanol and KOH in the Austin Texas area? I've purchased a processor and reading 8 hours a day about the process. Anyone in the Austin area willing to let me watch and learn through an afternoon?

Near Johnstown, PA is $205 per 55 gal drum. Be sure to order the "clear" stuff. Otherwise it will have lube in it for the racing fuel.

I am now setup as a chemical supplier in Western PA. If you are in Western PA or SouthEastern PA, drop me a PM for methanol and KOH.
Here is an example: 55 gal drums methanol $3.25/gal. 25 drums or so is closer to $3.00/gal High grade KOH by the 50 lb bag is $1.30/lb If anyone is interested in a group buy let me know. This first order is at cost. I may order extra and start selling smaller quantities as people need it. FYI. One place I called quoted $300/drum (ouch!), which is why I went this route and I thought maybe I could help some others out, too  -JC |

I just called Astro Chemical in Springfield Mass. $3 per pound for KOH picked up. Taurus (tewksbury Mass. ) 55 gallon drum of methanol was $229 last week.

Check with Pacific Coast Chemical in Berkeley for NaOH and KOH. 510-549-3535 or use the phone number listed for Nevada 1-800-348-1579 I currently get my methanol in 55 gal. drums from Northern Lights Energy in Redding and Corning at $3.82 gal. plus tax I am currently buying by the pallet every week and expect to start getting tankers early next year, and the price quoted will make it worthwhile to buy more and sell excess to others.
