Due to DOT rules they cannot load more than one barrel of methanol in your truck. They cannot load one barrel of methanol & a bag of NaOH or KOH.
I got the rules explained on this. You can only carry one chemical at a time and you can take no more than 500 pounds of that chemical.
They do run routes to nearby towns. Minimum $200 order, no fee other than fuel surcharge.

I'm not sure of the price of methanol but I'm sure it is competetive.

KOH is $45.00 plus 6% Michigan Sales Tax(bastards)LOL for a 50 lb bag.

NaOH is $37.00 plus tax for a 50 lb bag.

Hey hi Ian and everyone.
I am from NE NM. A friend made the trip to Texas last weekend, unfortunately for me Texas is one big ass state. Our friends are in the Lubbock vicinity and when I showed them your post on methanol in Academy TX, they said it was too far away. So, my buddies are heading back to Texas this weekend and are willing to pick up a 55 gallon drum for us. My question is: Where in west Texas can I find methanol?
