Does it make any sense to filter biod, let set for a few days and then refilter? I mean if glycerin continues to settle out, that means the molecules are congregating, i.e. sticking together forming larger chunks, no?

I rely on the glycerin to settle, rather than trying to catch it in a filter. I haven't changed the Rover's 2-micron Racor filter in over a year, and only had the Mazda (with stock filters) for 3 months. I carry spare filters, but haven't changed any yet. 8000 miles on the Rover, 4000 on the Mazda, all on BD.
I'd recommend letting it settle as long as possible, and prefer a week myself, and don't try to get the very bottom of the BD layer. My WVO is pretty clean to start with though, so maybe other's have other advice.
Cheers,
