Hello andy, congratulations on your success

In my experience, It is not uncommon to get oil titrating 1 or less.

I'd sure love to get some of that good stuff. Mine is usually at 5+. But it still is making great fuel and for around $1.12/gallon, you won't hear me complaining.

Actually, I'm trying to keep very quiet!!!!

you need to go to the SVO forum and ask there. this topic is about titrating for BIODIESEL.

Easy DUDE don't run any potentially good members off on their 1st post.

do you mean run someone off of a biodiesel thread when they are asking questions about svo when most home brewers would not be able to give an answer to a svo question?
there is nothing like following a thread and getting into the flow of the discourse and then...BAM! outta nowhere something from left field hits ya in the head.

I thought you needed waste vegetable oil to make biodiesel.

Cliques... scheesh... you find them everywhere.

Lighten up, dude.

andyn,
it seems that i am an accomplice in the hijacking of a thread after the fact. i apologize.
congrats on your first of what i hope will be many batches of biodiesel. it's a great feeling isn't it? you will no doubt keep gathering a wealth of information from this site and more than likely start to contribute with some of your own experiences after a while. I started with Tilly's Dr. Pepper technique (pat. pend. Wink) and 40-50 batches later am still finding the forum very informative.
and one other thing, do not let go of that oil source Wink
