I am using Phenol red for titration. I have done 2 batches and both failed 3/27. I was wondering if I was titrating properly? I titrate until the sample stays pink for 30 seconds. However, I stop when it is a pale pink rather than turning back to yellow. I was wondering if I should titrate to a darker pink?

Thanks in advance, CC

I've never used phenol red but I've read alot that says not to use it. I'm using tumeric at the moment and I have a question about it.

When I place the tumeric in the iso should I add titrating solution to it and force the color change prior to adding the WVO? I'm thinking this is known as blanking my indicator and iso but I'm a little unclear at the moment.
